There are many questions that come up when choosing the Dance Studio that’s right for us, and we’re here to help. We’ve prepared a list of some of the most frequently asked questions and their answers below. Still can’t find what you’re looking for? Be sure to get in touch.
When do we accept new students?
Students can enroll during registrations that are held in the summer and fall for the coming school year. Our programs begin at the end of August and run until the recital in May.
What programs do we offer?
The Dance Company of Hertford offers dance classes in the following style: ballet, tap, jazz, modern, lyrical, and pointe. We also offer a tumbling program, an after school performing arts program, and martial arts.
What will I need for classes?
Ballet - leotard, tights, skirt (optional), pink ballet shoes
Tap - leotard, tights, tan tap shoes (Mary Jane style with side closure)
Jazz - leotard, tights or capri leggings, tan jazz shoes (slip on)
Hip Hop - shorts and t-shirt, solid black shoes (dance sneaker or jazz shoe)
Tumbling - Girls, unitard. Boys, shorts and t-shirt. No shoes
Kids Muay Thai (ages 7+) - Athletic shorts and shirts, gloves, No shoes
Jiu-Jitsu (ages 7+) - Gi (can be ordered online, any color), No shoes
Yoga - personal mat, 2 yoga blocks, small pillow
